Dr. OluwaTosin "Tosin" Adebiyi DNP, APRN, PMHNP-BC
Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
Dr. Tosin Adebiyi is a Board Certified Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree (DNP) from the University of South Alabama. She has many years of mental health experience in inpatient and outpatient settings. She is dedicated to helping others achieve their best and she enjoys teaching and mentoring others. She serves as a preceptor to many PMHNP students. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, traveling and spending time with family.
What to expect during my first visit ?

Your mental health is our priority, therefore, it is important to us that we make your first visit as smooth and successful as possible.

We will meet with you for an extensive interview and psychiatric evaluation in which we will gather some information such as your history, symptoms, and other information to address your reason for visit. We will then determine the best plan of action to move forward.

We ask that you arrive at least 15 minutes earlier so that you can fill out any necessary new patient paperwork (if you have not done so prior ).

Please submit your ID and your form of payment

Bring a list of current medications with dosage, date started, reason for taking it and the who prescribed it

Bring any information regarding past history/ diagnosis and current primary care

How can I get in touch with the clinic?Our goal is to answer all incoming calls during our office hours, however, that may not be the case due to heavy call volume from time to time. If you reach a voicemail, we ask that you leave a message that includes your name, a brief description of the reason for the call, and how to be contacted. We will try to get back with you within 24 hours working business days. ***In the event of an urgent/ life threatening emergency during or outside of our normal business hours, please call 911 or go to the nearest Emergency Department. Do NOT delay care by waiting for a response from our office***

CANCELLATION/ NO SHOW POLICYWe understand that things come up, however, we ask that you cancel or reschedule your appointment 48 hours in advance to avoid a $100 late cancellation/No show fee. We require a form of payment on file to make an appointment. In emergent circumstances requiring changes to your appointment, please contact our office immediately. Showing up late (more than 10 minutes) for an appointment may result in cancellation or rescheduling. You may also choose to use the remainder of your time left in your appointment – without extension.

WHAT IS PSYCHIATRIC MENTAL HEALTH NURSE PRACTITIONER?A Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) who earned a master’s or doctoral degree and obtained a national board certification specializing in psychiatric-mental health nursing. A Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner's full scope of practice includes, but is not limited to, diagnosing psychiatric and mental health disorders, prescribing medications to treat psychiatric and mental health disorders, and providing psychotherapy and patient education. They work independently and collaboratively with a physician and other health professionals to provide a full range of psychiatric and mental health services. Learn more.
